There are a ton of ideas out there on how you can make your home more marketable, but one crucial idea is to have a pre-sale cleaning. It makes your home more attractive to potential buyers by not only showing them that it is a livable place, but also that you took care of the house, creating the impression that there are no hidden issues.
Here are a few tips to help you cover all the bases:
The method of cleaning the floor goes hand in hand with the type of floor in your home.
For most hard surfaces, all you need is a sweep and mop. Be careful not to use too much soap as it will make the floor sticky. Wood floors may need a special cleaning solution or polish so be careful.
Consider steam cleaning carpets if they have any deep set stains or smells.
For many the kitchen is the most crucial place in a home. Expect to have every potential buyer to have a thorough look of all appliances in the kitchen.
Be sure to clean the cabinet doors very well, paying attention to the handles. A lot of junk accumulates there over time.
You definitely want to use a degreaser all over the range, refrigerator, microwave, etc. Basically the appliances should look near new. It would also be good to run the oven and dishwasher through cleaning cycles.
Windows and Mirrors
These are the easiest things to clean yet are often done poorly. Remember that windows connect the inside to the outside, so make sure nothing obstructs the sightline of your buyers. Newspaper and window cleaner work surprisingly well, but a squeegee is also really helpful.
Bedroom and Bathrooms
These are pretty straightforward. Just remember to clean from ceiling to floor. Get inside all the drawers and closets really well.
In the bathroom, don’t forget to clean out the exhaust ducts. They get full of dust and debris. Also be sure to clean the sink and tub drains. Nobody likes to see a bunch of nasty hair clogging things up.
This must have been the last thing you were thinking about when it comes to cleaning. Do the ceilings first to avoid shuffling dirt around. You can just use a vacuum to clear all the cobwebs and other substances that often stick on the ceilings.
Garden and Veranda
Most homes look better with a proper garden and flowers. Consider planting some fresh plants to improve the curb appeal of your home. Clear all the debris that doesn’t belong.
The veranda may need to be re-stained if it is wooden or pressure washed if made from other materials. While you’re at it, it wouldn’t hurt to pressure wash the entire house, including the driveway. A stain free home and driveway screams curb appeal.
There is a lot to consider when cleaning your home to improve sale value. Most of all have a critical eye and don’t be afraid to put some hard work and a few extra dollars in to really go above and beyond.

Many people saw me as merely a young girl who was not intelligent and whose work was only painting other people’s nails, waxing their legs and chatting with other girls in a similar position. On the other hand, I saw an image of a beauty therapist who would do more than what people thought as dead-end jobs. That was my dream, the dream of becoming a beauty therapist.
I thought of where I could get the knowledge about beauty treatments, can beauty therapy be a course like others? I discovered something with the owner of the beauty salon I was working in; he kept on finding new things for his beauty salon, keeping himself up to date with current trends in beauty industry. He bought beauty magazines and books he could come across.
I got the opportunity to go through beauty magazines and realized that beauty therapy was beyond basic manicure, pedicure, waxing, body massage and facials. Beauty therapy actually requires extensive knowledge of body anatomy, physiology as well as practical therapies. I was gaining hands on experience but I needed knowledge of understanding the skin to be able to understand the type of treatment to be administered. One of the first things i did was invest in the right beauty equipment and technology.
As I was going through magazines and made inquiries, I found the courses one can undertake to become a beauty therapist. I searched for the colleges that offer courses in beauty therapy; I was enrolled and started learning. After completing state approved program, I did a licensure exam which was practical and was given a license as a qualified beauty therapist. Going to college helped me expand my knowledge and skills in waxing, manicures, pedicures, eye treatments, massage as well as epilating. I gained knowledge in acupuncture, acupressure, magnetic therapy, aromatherapy as well as lymphatic drainage and ipl laser hair removal.
With the knowledge acquired, and having a startup capital I was ready to make my dream come true. I could perform all the tasks needed of me as a beauty therapist. Talk about right time and right place. Whilst there was a time that tattoos were popular i realised that many people didn't like them any more and because of laser removal technology were getting them removed. I bought an ipl laser tattoo removal machine and all of a sudden i was in demand. I could analyze the patient’s skin and advice on the beauty products to use. I was also able to know which part of the face is stagnated and needs to be relieved via acupressure or massage when giving a facial. I had acquired management skills and was now able to manage my business and know how to retain the clients, how to generate new ones and also how to satisfy them.
More than twenty years now and I am a happy beauty therapist. My business has maintained a steady growth with people coming not only for beauty treatments but also for health consultations.

Did anyone realize that a beauty therapist is a professional. Perhaps this perception is what demoralized me. How then did people start glorifying beauty and seeing beauty services as viable ventures to engage in?
When my aunt used to work in a salon offering beauty services like waxing, manicures and pedicures which were commonly known as nail painting, she was considered someone in a dead end job, someone who lacked what to do; but I used to treasure her job, I found her job not just interesting but so uniting with different people. Working in a tattoo removal training centre what was not what I called working in the beauty industry.
We used tattoo laser removal machines to help remove tattoos from people who for some reason regretted getting them done in the first place. So I had to explore the inside of what it really means being in beauty business and more so being a beauty therapist.
Amazingly, a beauty therapist is a professional like no other. The beauty therapist today does way more than what the traditional beauty salon owner did five or ten years ago. With the advancement in beauty technology such as microdermabrasion machines, IPL tattoo removal lasers and fat cavitation machines I realized that there is training required and a certificate or diploma in beauty therapy to be certified as a practitioner. When I realized that one acquires extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and practical therapies; I also understood how therapy could create changes in the skin. Now I gained the insight of health relation to beauty, how one can correct skin imperfections with beauty treatment, how one can delay the onset of aging signs like wrinkles and fine lines with beauty treatment? All these gave me the desire of becoming a beauty therapist.
My dream came true when the stereotype of the title beautician and the perception of who beauticians are had fade away. I opened an IPL hair removal treatment centre that used the latest IPL machines to help women and men permanently get rid of unwanted hair from their bodies. Everyone now adored beauty and the benefits of beauty treatments. People started acknowledging the services of a beautician and realized that it is a profession that deserves praise.
Creating awareness and impacting knowledge to people was one way of helping them appreciate beauty therapist. Every time a client goes to beauty salon, after the treatment, as a beauty therapist I give advice on skin care products, taking care of the skin and foods that can help keep the skin young. Many people have now turned to beauty salons as the only business and beauty treatments are now the order of the day.

If you are a business coach Melbourne based business trying to get your website seen by potential customers online or an entrepreneur with a new idea to get out to the market, you've probably heard of search engine optimization or SEO. While SEO is important, it's no longer the be-all and end-all of website optimization. In today's competitive online marketplace, online enterprises must take advantage of a wide range of inbound marketing techniques if they are to grow and thrive. Landing page optimization, or LPO is just such a technique.
We certainly don't expect a savvy entrepreneur such as you to jump right on the LPO bandwagon without a full comprehension of what, exactly, it is. There are plenty of concepts to grasp regarding the efficiency of landing page optimization. In the interest of brevity and understanding, here are a couple of questions we're asked every day:
What is a landing page?
Good question. A landing page is where an internet user arrives, or 'lands' when they click on an inbound link. Your website may have several landing pages, each of which can benefit greatly by a well-organized optimization plan.
Think of a landing page as a bridge between the link that inspired the user to click and the functionality of your website. When an internet user clicks a link, they expect the page they land on to contain relevant information. If they find what they're looking for, they may stay long enough to provide contact information or even convert to a paying customer on the spot.
What can LPO do for me?
Imagine for a moment that you are the CEO of a fairly successful company. You spend gobs of money on sales reps, trade shows and print ads but are not seeing the stunning results you'd hoped for. Perhaps it's time to reconsider your local marketing strategy.
A well-executed white-hat local seo strategy by an seo consultant who knows what they are doing can help devise a system that includes first-class landing page optimization to attract interested local shoppers can make all the difference between landing pages that see a lot of 'bounces' and pages that capture the attention of paying customers.
Now that we're halfway into the second decade of the 21 st century, a well-optimized website is more important than ever. Any enterprise that intends to be a major player in the wide world of internet commerce absolutely must build and maintain a vibrant online presence. LPO is an imperative part of that presence.
When you're ready to know more, speak with an inbound marketing expert. They would be delighted to provide you with a more detailed explanation. A landing page is very focused web page that makes the visitor choose between taking the action you want them to take or leaving. If they choose to leave you should not be bothered as they would have left anyway.
